Nutrition Chemotherapy

Picture
While undergoing chemotherapy it is especially important to
make sure you are on the right diet. Getting enough nutrients,
minerals and enzymes is critical to support your body during
this exhausting time.

The chemotherapy side effects often times make it difficult
for cancer patients to follow life's most basic routines.
Altered ability to taste, Nausea, loss of appetite and so on
can make getting proper nutrition a daily challenge.

Here are some tips for proper nutrition & chemotherapy
First of all, if you are gettingchemotherapy, this is not
the time to leave out any foods. The risk of getting
undernourished is high. You should not restrict your diet
unless it is a medically necessity.

Here are some nutrition and chemotherapy guidlines:

Drink lots of clean water - You should drink at least two liters
of water per day. Grape juice is also very good. Avoid caffeine
(and alcohol) containing drinks such as colas, tea and coffee.
They have the opposite effect and will dehydrate your body.

I highly recommend "MegaHydrate" by Dr. Patrick Flanagan. This
product decreases the surface tension of water, making it easier
to absorb into the body. It helps your body make the most out of
it. MegaHydrate is also a strong antioxidant, increases your
hydration levels and supports your immune system.

Eat plenty of vegetables! All vegetables should be organic.
Green vegetables, including grasses (generally juiced) and
sprouts, should be the foundation of an effective cancer diet.
The chlorophyll, fiber, minerals, enzymes and many other
nutrients are critical.

Eat (organic) Avocado often. It's an excellent source of
essential fatty acids and potassium.

Do not eat any soy products! All soy products should be avoided.

All meat (especially red meat) and all fish should be avoided.
Exception: If a cancer patient is fighting weight loss, some fresh,
fish (like sardines) can be eaten. However lentils, beans or other
legumes would be better).

Take this advice on nutrition & chemotherapy at heart and
you will already be on your way to good health again.
